"Do not, under ANY circumstances, mistake me for a normal dragon - mention this in your text, and I will make a meal out of you and your kin! The differences between my kind and them are blatantly obvious - We have two legs (And sometimes no legs), while they have four legs in addition to wings! How your kind always mistake us to those wretched brutes is beyond me.
Why the bitter bile? We wyverns and the dragons are mortal enemies. We all desire the same gold and jewels to hoard, the same caves and ruins to make our homes in, the same mortals and cattle for us to consume. Both we and them are unwilling to share, nor are there enough between us to have!
The dragons claim the land as their's to have, their's to ravage, their's to hoard and rule! BAH! What right do these inferiors have, just because they have front claws? We need none. By all accounts, we are superior to them: our kind is older, our wings faster, our fires more fierce, our wits sharper and more cunning! And despite what they say, we were here first; yet these usurpers would wish to take these lands from us, to destroy us!
Mark my words, humans: they will pay for their intrusion in our realm. Their craven ambitions will fail, and we will scour them from our lands soon enough!
Don't get me started on those wingless heathens you humans call 'Lindwurms'...!"
--- A Wyvern, to a Human scribe, on the differences between different kinds of wyrms. The wyvern were among the few wyrms (wyvern, normal dragons, lindwurms or otherwise) in the land who had agreed to tell the Humans knowledge about themselves, such as their culture, society, magic and habits, in exchange for wealth to hoard.
